Man, ghosts are taking us all over on this holiday retrospective. But yes, we look at "XMas Marks The Spot," written by J. Michael Straczynski and directed by Richard Raynis. Highlights include:
-Secrets of Japanese animation studios.
-Victorians' interest in ghost stories at Christmas.
-Peter Venkman's childhood.

Happy Halloween! We're watching a ghost busting, ghost crashing, ghost smashing, Abbott & Costello meeting sort of film that helped inspire Dan Aykroyd. From 1940 it's The Ghost Breakers starring Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard.
How spooky is it? Not very.
How funny is it? Passable.
How racist is it? Considerable at times.
